About: Principles of Sculpture covers concepts needed to sketch the human figure in clay. Students work on varied poses, focusing on the gesture and anatomical structure of the model, while familiarizing themselves with translating what they observe into three dimensions. In short, they explore techniques that allow for a thorough investigation of the human form on a smaller scale. Some experience with figure drawing, painting or sculpture is recommended, but not required.
