Art Handling - Fabrication - Painting & Maintenance
Located in Naples, Florida, H&R Studio is an umbrella entity for the many projects pursued by cofounding artists, Brett F Harvey and Lauren Amalia Redding.
Besides producing his own sculpture, Brett offers a wide range of services, from blue chip art handling to property maintenance and painting. Brett decided to introduce property maintenance and painting services after the birth of his second child so that he could pursue work with greater flexibility for his family. Brett's comfortable in any setting, including high-end environments where discretion is key. However, he applies the same level of troubleshooting, precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to every project, regardless of scope and scale.
Please use the form to right/below to contact Brett about help and an estimate for your own project. Brett offers hourly rates, square footage rates for painting, and day rates for jobs outside the Naples area.

Painting and Maintenance
Brett began performing building maintenance and painting interiors as a teenager,  and since then, has serviced spaces ranging from massive hockey rinks to condos in gated communities. Though his previous jobs have always encompassed these projects, Brett now offers them as standalone services so that he can pursue a more flexible work schedule as the father of two young sons.
Drywall/plaster repair and painting are his specialties, but Brett's willing to take on any project and apply the same level of care and precision as he does when working on multi-million dollar sculptures (see below). From specific jobs like adding custom-built storage to maximize a small space, to broader tasks like basic handyman and home watch services, Brett is happy to help.
Fabrication
Throughout Brett's life, he's always been constructing with a high level of attention to detail, whether it's museum exhibition furniture, molds and assembly jigs for other artists, a Murphy bed for his New York City apartment, or custom artwork framing. Brett's wide-ranging knowledge of materials and engineering concepts--along with access to woodworking, welding, and metalworking tools in his Naples studio--mean that the project possibilities are limitless.
Art Handling
Brett worked as a museum preparator between undergraduate and graduate schools, and then began working for the studio of one of the world's most well-known living artists, assembling finished artwork and designing installation protocols. He traveled internationally to oversee installation teams in private residences as well as museums including the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Ashmolean Museum, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, to name a few.
Brett has a great deal of experience with rigging practices for lifting heavy and delicate objects, regularly utilizing machinery like fork lifts and gantry cranes. He routinely performs minor conservation work and is often subcontracted by one of the world's largest art handling companies to oversee special installation and crating projects across Southern Florida, notably in the Miami and Palm Beach areas.
Other Installation Services
Brett's experience assembling and installing blue-chip artwork, as described above, dovetails into another service: assembly and installation of a wide variety of furnishings, antiques, and any bulky and/or fragile objects. He has worked with his father in the office furniture industry, and has extensive experience with Herman Miller products. Brett's also able to collaborate with designers to help bring interiors together. However, he handles all objects with the same meticulousness, treating a weathered family heirloom with the same care as a museum acquisition.
