H&R Studio's Co-Founders

H&R Studio was co-founded by artists Brett F. Harvey and Lauren Amalia Redding, who met as graduate students in Manhattan. They married and lived in Queens, New York for nine years before relocating to Naples in 2018 to establish H&R Studio, for which they are the principal instructors and administrators.

Co-founder and sculptor Brett F. Harvey represents the "H" in H&R Studio.

Born just outside Boston, Brett's family moved to New Hampshire when he was a toddler. Brett obtained his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire. He then obtained his Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the New York Academy of Art in 2011.

In addition to exhibiting his own sculptures, Brett began curating the social media account Johnsons in Art, which advocates for the male nude. His work has been featured on the cover of Sculpture Review and as one of eighteen artists to watch in 2018 by The Blue ReviewBrett also balanced his thriving studio practice with a high-profile, high-responsibility job: he worked as the lead installer and a master fabricator for Jeff Koons.

Brett is thrilled to bring his appreciation for the human form and all things Greek to H&R Studio.  Be sure to expect an engineer's thoroughness in all his teaching.
